Common questions
Where does my progress live?
On your device only. There is no account, no cloud sync, and no server-side storage of your answers. If you delete the app, your progress is gone.
How accurate are the questions?
Questions are written from Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents, the Home Office's official handbook. The real test draws from a confidential pool maintained by the Home Office and PSI Services — practice apps cannot show the actual exam questions, so use this app to practise the material, not to predict the test.
Why is the app English only?
The Life in the UK Test is taken in English (with rare exceptions for Welsh and Scottish Gaelic). A B1 English language qualification is a separate requirement that runs alongside the test. Translations into other languages are not on the roadmap.
What about Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?
The handbook covers all four nations and the test is a single national pool. Candidates in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland see some questions about their devolved administration in place of the equivalent England questions — the underlying material is the same.
Reporting a problem
If you spot an incorrect question or a bug, please include:
- The question number (visible in the bottom-right of the question screen).
- What the app showed vs. what you expected.
- iPhone / iPad model and iOS version.
