About the test

The Life in the UK Test is a 24-question computer-based exam administered by PSI Services at approved test centres across the UK. You have 45 minutes and need at least 18 of 24 correct (75%) to pass. It is required for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) and for naturalisation as a British citizen, alongside a B1 English language qualification.

Questions cover UK history, geography, government, society, customs and culture as set out in the Home Office handbook. This app is a study aid, not a substitute for the official guide — read it cover to cover at least once before relying on practice apps.
